MAPS
Section,
township, and range mylar base maps are regularly posted with new wells and new
well locations. The library has approximately 1000 7.5
minute USGS topographic maps for New Mexico. Map and cross-section copies can be made with our large 36 inch-wide b/w
copier.
SUBSURFACE,
DRILLING, COMPLETION, AND PRODUCTION DATA
NMEL receives the weekly Petroleum
Information report, oil and gas reports, lease assignments, and completion cards
for New Mexico. We subscribe to the state and federal land lease reports and results. We have the monthly
production books for the previous six months and annual production books dating
back to 1931. We have completion information and drilling reports dating back to
the 1920's, the older being mostly hand-written. NMEL also has
acquired several collections of scout tickets from operators such as
Carper and Malco. The Lasser
Production CD for
New Mexico
and also “Geo-Tech” on-line is available in the Library.
